Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 12/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure system off the northern New South Wales coast is moving to the southeast as a high pressure system south of the Bight extends a ridge towards the state's west. The high is expected to be centred above the western Tasman Sea by Friday, maintaining a ridge along the New South Wales coast. Another low pressure trough is forecast to approach the state's west during the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayThe chance of showers about the coast and ranges, more likely about the northern ranges in the afternoon with possible thunderstorms. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Southerly, fresh and gusty along the coast.Wednesday 14 DecemberThe chance of showers about the coast and ranges, chiefly in the north. Fine elsewhere, with sunny periods. South to southeast winds.Thursday 15 DecemberIsolated showers developing over parts of the northern inland. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds.Friday 16 DecemberFine and partly cloudy in the southwest and the northern coast. Isolated showers elsewhere, tending scattered about parts of the northern inland.
