MELBOURNE - Dec 10/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough will move from western New South Wales over to the eastern parts of the state today, developing into a low near the Mid North Coast on Monday. The low is expected to move rapidly to the south-southeast during Tuesday and Wednesday as a high pressure system moves south of the Bight extending a ridge to the north coast. Forecast for the rest of SundayScattered showers tending isolated in the far west and clearing. Isolated thunderstorms, more likely on the ranges and western slopes. Northwest to northeast winds turning southwesterly in western and central parts.Monday 12 DecemberBecoming mostly sunny in the far west. Showers and possible thunderstorms over the remainder, more likely in the east. Showers tending to rain with possible heavy falls on the central parts of the coast and adjacent ranges. South to southwest winds extending throughout.Tuesday 13 DecemberShowers in the east, mostly clearing from the southeast during the afternoon. Partly cloudy elsewhere with sunny periods in the west. South to southeast winds, fresh and gusty along the coast.Wednesday 14 DecemberShowers in the east apart from South Coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere with sunny periods in the west.
