MELBOURNE - Dec 9/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A trough will enter western Victoria today, moving to central districts at night and into the east of the State on Sunday morning. Another front will move across Tasmania late on Monday as the next high pressure system ridges into the Bight. The ridge will extend across Victoria on Tuesday as a low pressure system develops in the Tasman Sea. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayScattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly afternoon and evening, tending to areas of rain during the evening. A mild to warm and humid day with a moderate northerly wind tending southwesterly in the west later.Fire Danger - High in the west and north.Sunday 11 DecemberRain areas and isolated thunderstorms, contracting to the far east by the afternoon. Isolated showers to follow in the south. Warm in the north, mild in the south, with winds tending light to moderate southerlyMonday 12 DecemberIsolated showers on and south of the ranges, contracting to the southwest and far east by the afternoon. Cool in the south and mild in the north with moderate southwest to southerly winds.Tuesday 13 DecemberIsolated showers in the south, more widespread over east Gippsland.
