MELBOURNE - Dec 9/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough will move over western New South Wales tonight. The trough will cross the state during Sunday and then it will move over the western Tasman Sea early Monday and deepen into a low. The low is expected to move rapidly to the south-southeast during Tuesday and Wednesday as a high pressure system moves south of the Bight extending a ridge to the north coast. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers tending scattered on the western slopes of the ranges. Isolated thunderstorms west of Divide. Northwest to northeast winds turning south to southwest change in the far west later.Sunday 11 DecemberScattered showers and thunderstorms tending isolated in the far west and clearing. Northwest to northeast winds turning southwesterly in western and central parts.Monday 12 DecemberPartly cloudy in the far west. Showers and possible thunderstorms over the remainder, more likely in the east. South to southwest winds extending throughout.Tuesday 13 DecemberShowers in the east, mostly clearing from the southeast during the afternoon. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
