Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 5/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow moving high, centred near Tasmania will move over the Tasman Sea on Wednesday. A trough of low pressure and associated low pressure system will develop near the western border on Thursday morning. The low is expected to be centred just west of Ceduna late Thursday evening, then move southeastwards over southern coasts on Friday. The trough will move eastwards over northern parts during Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms in the far northeast, clearing in the evening. Warm to hot with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, fresh about the coasts with afternoon sea breezes.Wednesday 7 DecemberFine apart from isolated showers and thunderstorms in the far west in the afternoon or evening. Generally hot with freshening northerly winds, turning southeasterly near western coasts in the afternoon.Thursday 8 DecemberIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms extending from the west to reach the eastern border late evening. Warm to hot and mostly cloudy with fresh northerly winds turning milder southwesterly in western parts.Friday 9 December
Isolated showers and thunderstorms contracting eastwards to be confined to the Northeast Pastoral in the evening, but isolated showers persisting over the agricultural area. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a southwest to south change in the west, extending eastwards to reach the Northeast Pastoral late evening.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday morning until midnight Friday are expected to be 1 to 5 mm with possible falls of 5 to 15 mm with thunderstorms.
Saturday until MondayIsolated showers near the eastern border, clearing Saturday morning. Isolated showers persisting over the agricultural area, contracting to southern coasts on Sunday, persisting on Monday. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Tuesday.Product IDS10033
