MELBOURNE - Dec 5/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system lies over the eastern Bight, while a Low is over the central Tasman Sea. The high will move very slowly eastwards and weaken, forming a centre east of Tasmania on Wednesday. A low pressure trough is expected to develop over the west of the state Thursday night and then to deepen and move slowly east during Friday and Saturday as the high moves towards New Zealand. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers near the coast. Showers and isolated thunderstorms over the far northern inland. Fine elsewhere. Fresh south to southeast winds near the coast, tending easterly inland.Tuesday 6 DecemberShowers and possible thunderstorms over the northern inland, tending to rain areas in the central north. Isolated showers on southern and central parts of the coast and adjacent ranges. Fine elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds.Wednesday 7 DecemberRain areas in the northeast and central north. Isolated showers about central parts of the coast and adjacent ranges. Fine in the southwest half. Southeast to northeast winds.Thursday 8 DecemberScattered showers in the northeast.
