Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 3/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system well south of the Bight is moving slowly east. The tail end of a cold front will move through eastern Bass Strait this morning. The high will be just west of Tasmania by late Monday before weakening as it moves across Tasmania during Tuesday. The high will then move to the central Tasman Sea on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayCool in the south with isolated showers contracting to Gippsland in the afternoon. Mild and sunny in the north. Moderate to fresh south to southeasterly wind.Fire Danger -  High in the north.Monday 5 DecemberFine apart from isolated clearing showers in East Gippsland. Mild to warm with moderate to fresh east to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 6 DecemberFine. Mild to warm and mostly sunny. Light to moderate easterly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Wednesday 7 DecemberFine apart from the chance of an afternoon shower about the northeast ranges.
