MELBOURNE - Dec 3/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front is crossing the southwestern Tasman Sea and a strong high pressure system is moving south of the Bight. During today the high will move very slowly east, gradually developing a ridge along the NSW coast. A low pressure trough is expected to develop over the west of the state Thursday night and then to deepen during Friday and Saturday as the high moves towards New Zealand. Forecast for the rest of SundayRemaining fine on the far north coast, but isolated showers on the south coast and the adjacent ranges, contracting northwards over the remainder of the coast and east ranges during the day, gradually clearing from the south. The chance of thunderstorms in the eastern parts of the central ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds, fresh along the southern half of the coast.Monday 5 DecemberIsolated showers near the coast. Showers developing over the northern inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southeast winds near the coast, tending easterly inland.Tuesday 6 DecemberIsolated showers in the north and on the south and central coasts. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
