Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 3/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high centred south of the Bight will remain near stationary over the next few days before moving over Tasmania early next week. A trough of low pressure is expected to move over South Australia mid-late next week.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine apart from isolated light showers clearing from the Lower South East by evening. Mild with moderate southeast to easterly winds, fresh to strong about the western coasts with sea breezes until early evening.Sunday 4 DecemberFine and mostly sunny. Generally warm with light to moderate east to southeast winds, fresh to strong about parts of the coasts with sea breezes.Monday 5 DecemberIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms in the far northeast, otherwise fine and mostly sunny. Warm with moderate east to southeast winds.Tuesday 6 DecemberIsolated showers and thunderstorms clearing from the northeast in the evening. Warm to hot with southeast to northeasterly winds.Wednesday 7 December
Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms developing in the far west. Generally hot with freshening northerly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday until midnight Wednesday will be less than 1 mm, increasing to 1 to 5 mm in the far Northeast with possible falls of 5 to 15 mm from thunderstorms.
Thursday until SaturdayA trough of low pressure will move over South Australia late in the week extending isolated showers and possible thunderstorms throughout the State by Friday morning.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Sunday.Product IDS10033
