Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 2/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high centred south of the Bight will remain near stationary over the next few days before moving over Tasmania early next week. A weak front will move over the Lower South East Coast early on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayFine, mostly clear. Moderate to fresh southeast to easterly winds, fresh to strong at times about western coasts with sea breezes.Saturday 3 DecemberPossible isolated light morning showers about the Lower South East coast, otherwise fine and mostly sunny. Mild to warm with moderate southeast to easterly winds, fresh to strong about the western coasts with afternoon sea breezes.Sunday 4 DecemberIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms in the far northeast, otherwise fine and mostly sunny. Generally warm with light to moderate east to southeast winds, fresh about the coasts with afternoon sea breezes.Monday 5 DecemberIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms in the far northeast, otherwise fine and mostly sunny. Warm with moderate east to southeast winds.Tuesday 6 DecemberIsolated showers in the northeast clearing in the evening. Warm to hot with southeast to northeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday afternoon until midnight Tuesday will be less than 1 mm about the Lower South East coast and 1 to 5 mm in the far Northeast. Possible falls of up to 10 mm with thunderstorms.Wednesday until FridayIsolated showers developing in the far west later on Wednesday ahead of a trough expected to move over western parts on Thursday extending showers to about Wudinna by late evening. The trough will move further eastward on Friday with showers extending into the Northeast Pastoral and becoming scattered over the agricultural area. Generally hot with freshening northerly winds ahead of the trough turning milder southerly behind the trough.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Saturday.Product IDS10033
