Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 29/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough over the far northeast will move northeast of the state today. A cold front approaching the Lower South East district will slide southeastwards this morning, and another cold front will then clip the southeast overnight. A strong high to the south of Western Australia will move slowly east to be south of the Bight on Thursday, remaining slow-moving for the rest of the week.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers and thunderstorms northeast of about Coober Pedy to Renmark, contracting northeast and clearing in the afternoon. Isolated showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting to the Lower South East coast during the morning. Fresh southwest to southerly winds. Generally cool to mild, warm in the far north.Thursday 1 DecemberIsolated light showers south of about Port Lincoln to Keith, contracting to the Lower South East coast in the afternoon. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Cool to mild, grading to warm in the far northeast. Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds.Friday 2 DecemberIsolated light morning showers near southern coasts. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Mild to warm with moderate southeast to easterly winds, fresh about the coast.Saturday 3 December

Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday until midnight Saturday: a further 1 to 3 mm over the Lower South East and areas northeast of Coober Pedy to Renmark, and less than 1 mm over the remainder of the southern agricultural area. Falls of 5 to 10 mm are possible with thunderstorms.
Sunday until TuesdayIsolated showers developing in the far northwest, gradually extending south across the pastoral and western districts on Tuesday. Fine elsewhere. Southeast to easterly winds tending northeasterly with temperatures rising to be warm to hot throughout early in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Wednesday.Product IDS10033
