Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 29/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough extends from the far northwest to Kangaroo Island and will move inland to reach the North East Pastoral district in the evening, as a cold front passes to the south. A strong high will form to the south of Western Australia on Wednesday, moving slowly east to be south of the Bight on Thursday, where it will remain slow-moving on Friday and Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayClear over the far northeast. Isolated showers and thunderstorms elsewhere, clearing from the west. Hot with fresh and gusty north to northwesterly winds over central and eastern districts, ahead of a milder, fresh southwesterly change extending from the west to reach the far northeast in the evening. Winds strong about the coast.Wednesday 30 NovemberIsolated showers and thunderstorms northeast of about Coober Pedy to Keith, contracting northeast and clearing in the afternoon. Isolated showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting to the Lower South East coast during the morning. Fresh southwest to southerly winds extending throughout during the morning. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the far northeast.Thursday 1 DecemberIsolated light showers south of about Port Lincoln to Keith, contracting to the Lower South East coast in the afternoon. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Cool to mild, grading to warm in the far northeast. Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds.Friday 2 DecemberIsolated light morning showers near southern coasts. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Mild to warm with moderate southeast to easterly winds, fresh about the coast.Saturday 3 December

Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday until midnight Saturday are expected to be generally 1 to 5 mm, possibly reaching 5 to 10 mm with thunderstorms.
Sunday until TuesdayIsolated showers developing in the far northwest, gradually extending south across the pastoral and western districts on Tuesday. Fine elsewhere.
