MELBOURNE - Nov 27/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low centred to the southeast of Tasmania is moving towards New Zealand, while a weak high pressure system lies over western New South Wales. The high will drift steadily towards the coast today, promoting generally fine and stable conditions across the state, before reaching the Tasman Sea during Monday. Warmer northerly winds are expected to become established over the region during this time, as the next trough deepens to the west. This trough is forecast to affect New South Wales mid-week, bring unsettled weather to many districts as it passes overhead. Forecast for the rest of SundayFine. Southwest winds, fresh about parts of the southeast, becoming southeast to northeasterly along the coast.Monday 28 NovemberIsolated showers and possible afternoon thunderstorms along the north coast and ranges and in the far southeast. Fine elsewhere. Early fog patches near the coast. Mainly northeast winds, freshening along the coast later.Tuesday 29 NovemberIsolated showers and thunderstorms about the northeast quarter and in the far southeast. Fine elsewhere. Northwest to northeast winds, strengthening along the southern coast..Wednesday 30 NovemberRain areas in the west, extending to eastern districts where isolated thunderstorms are possible. North to northwest winds before a cool, fresh south to southwest change through western and southern parts.Thursday 1 DecemberRain areas in the east easing to isolated showers. Fine in the west.
