Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 23/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of the Bight will move slowly eastwards to be centred well south of Kangaroo Island on Thursday, and over the Tasman Sea on Friday. An upper low will develop near the eastern border on Thursday and Friday before moving over eastern states on Saturday. A low pressure system will develop over western NSW on Friday then move southeastwards during Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayFine and mostly clear. Moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds, strong at times about southern and western coasts easing later.Thursday 24 NovemberIsolated showers developing east of the ranges from late morning, becoming scattered north of about Adelaide during the afternoon with possible isolated thunderstorms. Possible showers extending further west to reach eastern Eyre Peninsula in the evening. Mild to warm with moderate south to southeasterly winds, fresh about the coasts in the afternoon.Friday 25 NovemberScattered showers and possible thunderstorms on and east of the ranges with isolated showers extending west to northern Yorke Peninsula and possibly reaching eastern Eyre Peninsula. Light to moderate southeast to southwest winds.Saturday 26 NovemberIsolated showers on and east of the ranges contracting east and clearing in the evening. Mild to warm with moderate south to southwesterly winds.Sunday 27 NovemberConditions becoming warmer with winds becoming light in the north and turning northwesterly in the west ahead of a weak trough. Isolated morning showers about the Lower South East Coast possibly developing about western and southern coasts late evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday afternoon until midnight Sunday are expected to be 1 to 5 mm increasing to 5 to 20 mm east of the ranges.Monday until WednesdayOn Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday isolated showers are forecast about the southern agricultural area and west coast associated with a series of troughs. Temperatures generally rising ahead of a cooler fresh southerly change on Tuesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Thursday.Product IDS10033
