Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 20/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system, extending a ridge over the Bight, will move from the west across waters south of the state during the next few days. A cold front will move over southern coasts early Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayPatchy rain over the northern pastoral districts. Isolated thunderstorms in the far northeast. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds.Monday 21 NovemberPatchy rain and possible thunderstorms over the pastoral districts north of about Coober Pedy to Leigh Creek. Isolated light morning showers about the Lower South East coast. Generally mild with mainly moderate southwest to southeast winds.Tuesday 22 NovemberPatchy rain and possible thunderstorms over the pastoral districts north of about Coober Pedy to Leigh Creek, more widespread in the far northeast, contracting northeastwards during the day and clearing by late evening. Isolated showers developing over the southern agricultural area, contracting to southern coasts by evening. Generally mild with mainly moderate southwest to southeast winds.Wednesday 23 November
Fine apart from isolated morning showers near southern coasts. Generally mild with moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds.
Thursday 24 November
Sunny. Mild to warm with moderate south to southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon until midnight Thursday are expected to be less than 3 mm over the agricultural area and west coast, 5 to 15 mm over the northern pastorals, increasing to 15 to 30 mm over the far northeast, with isolated falls of 30 to 50 mm possible.
Friday until SundayMostly sunny. Becoming warm to hot. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and afternoon coastal sea breezes.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
