Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 15/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of the Bight is moving eastwards and will move into the Tasman sea on Thursday. A low pressure trough over the north of the State will dissipate on Thursday. A front will move into the far west of the State early on Friday and then extend eastwards over the State during the day or early on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers and thunderstorms, clearing the Western Agricultural and Lower South East districts and Kangaroo Island by dawn and over areas south of about Clare by midday. Patchy rain northeast of about Marree after midday. Mild in the south grading to warm to hot in the north. Fresh south to southeast winds near the coast and in the far northeast. Generally light winds elsewhere.Thursday 17 NovemberIsolated showers and patchy light rain in the northeast contracting north and clearing later. Warm to hot with moderate northerly winds ahead of a milder southerly change later in the far southwest.Friday 18 NovemberIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms gradually extending over the south and west. Hot to very hot with fresh north to northwest winds, turning milder moderate to fresh southerly over the west and south.Saturday 19 November
Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms over most of the State gradually contracting northwards to be confined to the pastoral and northern agricultural areas by evening. Hot in the northeast, but milder elsewhere. Fresh to strong southerly winds extending throughout all but the far northeast.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Saturday are expected to be 1 to 5 mm generally, with falls of 10 to 20 mm possible in the north with thunderstorms. Falls of 5 to 10 mm are possible in the southeast.
Sunday until TuesdayIsolated showers in the north contracting to the far north. Isolated showers near southern coasts at times. Milder conditions throughout with moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Wednesday.Product IDS10033
