Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 14/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough and associated weak cold front will move into western Victoria this afternoon and will clear the far east early Wednesday. A high pressure system will rapidly move from the Bight across Victoria on Wednesday and will be centred over the Tasman Sea on Thursday. Another front and associated trough will reach western Victoria late Friday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayMostly sunny morning. Cloud increasing in the west with rain and possible thunderstorms reaching the southwest by mid afternoon and gradually extending northeastwards. Warm northwesterly winds freshening ahead of a cooler west to southwesterly change during the afternoon and evening.Fire Danger -  Moderate to HighWednesday 16 NovemberRain and possible thunderstorms contracting to the far eastern ranges by early afternoon then later clearing. Cool to mild and partly cloudy with mainly moderate south to southeasterly winds.Thursday 17 NovemberFine apart from isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms about the northeast. Generally warm to hot inland with light winds tending northerly, but milder along the coastal fringe with local afternoon seabreezes.Friday 18 NovemberScattered showers and isolated thunderstorms developing from the west. Generally warm to hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds shifting cooler southwesterly over western districts late in the day.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Tuesday.Product IDV10310
