Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 13/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure lies over the Bight. A trough of low pressure will move across coastal waters on Tuesday. A high will move south of the State Wednesday morning and over the Tasman Sea on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayEarly fog patches over Eyre Peninsula and parts of the northern agricultural area. Isolated showers south of Adelaide, contracting to the Lower South East by afternoon and clearing late afternoon. Isolated showers and the chance of isolated thunderstorms developing during the afternoon in the far northwest. Mild to warm with moderate to fresh westerly winds in the south, tending light to moderate southeast to northeast in the north and west.Tuesday 15 NovemberIsolated showers developing over most areas of the State except the far northeast with the chance of isolated thunderstorms over the Northwest Pastoral and Western Agricultural districts and the north of Eyre Peninsula. Warm to hot with light to moderate northerly winds, turning milder moderate to fresh southerly in the west and south.Wednesday 16 NovemberIsolated showers across most parts of the State, clearing from the southern coasts during the morning, with the chance of isolated thunderstorms over the Pastoral districts and the north of the agricultural area. Warm to hot with moderate to fresh south to southeast winds about the northeast interior and the coasts. Light to moderate northerly winds elsewhere.Thursday 17 November
Isolated showers contracting to the northeast and also redeveloping about western and southern coasts. Warm to hot with moderate northerly winds ahead of a milder southerly change in the far west.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon until midnight Thursday are expected to be 1 to 5 mm generally with higher falls of 5 to 20 mm in the northwest with thunderstorms.
Friday until SundayIsolated showers are expected to continue across most parts of the State through to Saturday. Warm to hot northerly winds will become milder southerly in the south and west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
