Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 13/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure system is situated over the Tasman Sea, while a broad trough of low pressure approaches New South Wales from the west. This trough, with an associated cold front, will move across western and southern parts of the state tonight and Monday, reaching the northeast early on Tuesday before continuing across the Tasman Sea. A second trough is expected to develop over western districts later on Tuesday before shifting to the north on Wednesday as a high passes to the south. This pattern is likely to result in much of the state experiencing unsettled conditions through the second half of the week.
Forecast for the rest of SundayScattered showers and thunderstorms in the northeast, becoming isolated later. The chance of showers near the Victorian border. Fine elsewhere. Northwest to northeast winds, freshening along the coast. A late southwest change in the far southwest.Monday 14 NovemberThe chance of showers or thunderstorms in the northeast, chiefly about the tablelands in the afternoon. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Northerly winds in the northeast. South to southwest winds extending across the remainder.Fire Danger -  Very High: Greater Sydney, Hunter, Illawarra, South Coast, Southern Tablelands, Central Tablelands, Central West.Tuesday 15 NovemberFine and mostly sunny, apart from the chance of showers on the north coast and adjacent tablelands. South to southeast winds extending throughout, turning northeasterly along parts of the coast in the afternoon.Wednesday 16 NovemberFine in the far northeast. Showers elsewhere, chiefly about the northern inland and central coast. Northerly in the north, and south to southeast winds in the south.Thursday 17 NovemberFine in the far northeast and southwest. Showers elsewhere, chiefly about the northern inland and central coast.
