Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 12/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system will move steadily east over the Tasman Sea today. A low pressure trough will enter western Victoria late in the afternoon, reaching central districts at night and clearing from the east on Monday. A weak cold front will cross southern Victoria late on Tuesday. A high pressure system will rapidly move from the Bight to reach Victoria late on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayEarly fog patches in Gippsland. Partly cloudy with isolated showers developing in the west mainly late morning then extending to most areas late in the day. Showers increasing later in western and central parts with the risk of thunderstorms. Warm moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of the cooler southwesterly change reaching the west towards evening.Fire Danger -  High in the north.Monday 14 NovemberIsolated showers on and south of the ranges, scattered near the coast during the morning. The chance of thunderstorms during the morning over central parts and Gippsland. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds.Tuesday 15 NovemberFine at first. Scattered showers developing in the southwest around midday then extending eastwards, mainly over southern and mountain districts. Mild to warm with moderate to fresh northwesterly winds shifting west to southwesterly from the west during the afternoon and evening.Wednesday 16 NovemberIsolated showers contracting to the south during the morning then clearing in the early afternoon. Cool to mild and partly cloudy with mainly moderate southwest to southerly wind.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Sunday.Product IDV10310
