Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 12/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough near the western border is moving eastwards and will move across western parts of the State on Sunday morning then over remaining parts of the State during the afternoon and evening. A weak ridge of high pressure will remain over the south of the State in the wake of the low through to Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers over the West Coast will extend to Eyre Peninsula and the Central district this evening. Isolated thunderstorms in the far west are expected to extend to Eyre Peninsula by midnight. Warm with light to moderate northeast to northwest winds ahead of a milder moderate to fresh southerly change in the far west during the evening.Sunday 13 NovemberFine northeast of Marree and over the Nullarbor Plain. Isolated showers and the chance of isolated thunderstorms elsewhere, contracting to the far north and east of Adelaide during the morning then clearing from the east during the day. Warm to hot with moderate to fresh northwest winds, fresh and gusty at times about eastern inland parts ahead of a a moderate to fresh southwesterly change extending from the west, reaching the northeast interior late evening. Winds strong during the afternoon over northern Gulf Waters.Monday 14 NovemberIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting to the Lower South East by afternoon and clearing late evening. Isolated showers and the chance of isolated thunderstorms developing in the far north. Mild to warm with moderate to fresh west to southwest winds, tending light to moderate southeast to northeast in the north and west.Tuesday 15 NovemberIsolated showers developing over most area except the far northeast with the chance of isolated thunderstorms through parts of the pastoral, Flinders districts. Warm to hot with light to moderate northerly winds, turning milder moderate to fresh southerly in the west and south.Wednesday 16 November
Isolated showers across all but the southern coastal parts of the State, with the chance of isolated thunderstorms in the north and west.
Cumulative rainfall totals from until midnight Wednesday are expected to be less than 1 mm in the northeast and up to 5 mm elsewhere, with possible local falls of up to 20 mm in the far north and west with thunderstorms.
Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms are expected to continue through to Saturday. Winds will become warmer northerly on Thursday and Friday ahead of the possible milder change late in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Sunday.Product IDS10033
