Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 10/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front has weakened and reached the far north coast. A high pressure system in Bight is drifting slowly east and should maintain a ridge across southern districts during the next day or two, although a trough is expected to develop over the northern inland during Friday. By Friday evening the high is expected to be centred over the Tasman Sea, where it should remain through the weekend. Another frontal system is expected to approach from the west during Sunday and should bring unsettled conditions to parts of the state, although it's precise movement is currently uncertain.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers and possible afternoon thunderstorms in the northeast. The chance of isolated showers on the South Coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast winds, turning northeasterly about parts of the southern coast in the afternoon.Saturday 12 NovemberIsolated showers and possible afternoon thunderstorms in the northeast. The chance of afternoon showers about the central and southern coasts. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds.Sunday 13 NovemberFine and partly cloudy in the northwest. The chance of showers elsewhere, mainly in the east and along the Victorian border. Northwest to northeast winds.Monday 14 NovemberFine apart from the chance of showers in the east. Northerly winds in the northeast. West to southwest winds extending across the remainder.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Friday.Product IDN10031
