Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 9/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front and associated low pressure trough crossing the State will clear far eastern Victoria early Thursday morning. A ridge of high pressure will extend from the Bight across northern Victoria Thursday night reaching the Tasman Sea later Friday. A weak cold front will move through Bass Strait on Saturday then the next low pressure trough will enter the State Sunday afternoon.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayShowers and thunderstorms spreading to rain this evening. Heavy falls with thunderstorms and also over the northeast and along the ranges. Hail and squally winds possible with the storms. Humid and warm with moderate to locally fresh north to northwesterly winds shifting cooler southwesterly over western and central parts during the evening.Thursday 10 NovemberRain with heavy falls in the east, clearing during the early morning otherwise fine apart from isolated showers over the southwest and along the coast. Cool to mild with moderate to locally fresh westerly winds.Fire Danger -  Low to moderateFriday 11 NovemberLocal early fog, then fine and partly cloudy. Mild in the south, warmer in the north. Light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Saturday 12 NovemberFine apart from isolated showers near the coast during the morning and isolated showers over the far northwest at night. Mild in the south, warmer in the north. Light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Sunday 13 NovemberPartly cloudy with isolated showers.
