Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 8/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A broad area of low pressure lies over the north and west of the state. A front over the far west coast will move steadily eastwards to be east of the State by late this afternoon. A high will develop over the Bight on Thursday following the front and will then move slowly east to reach the Tasman sea late Friday or early Saturday. Another trough will move into western parts of the State on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers and thunderstorms, gradually contracting eastwards to the eastern border late evening, but re-developing near southern coasts in the evening. Showers tending scattered in the north and east. Warm to hot with moderate north to northwest winds, fresh in the northeast, ahead of a milder, moderate to fresh west to southwest change extending from the west, reaching Adelaide early afternoon and Moomba late evening. Winds fresh and gusty over the Pastoral districts.Fire Danger -  Severe in the Northwest and Northeast Pastorals.Thursday 10 NovemberIsolated showers about southern coasts and the Lower South East. Isolated early morning showers and thunderstorms in the far northeast. Early morning fog patches in the west. Cool to mild in the south, grading to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh westerly winds in the south, tending southwest to southeast in the north. Winds easing in the evening.Friday 11 NovemberEarly fog patches over the agricultural area. Isolated showers developing in the far west late evening. Fine elsewhere. Mild in the south, grading to hot in the north and west. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, tending southwest to northwest in the south.Saturday 12 November
Early fog in the Lower South East. Isolated showers and thunderstorms extending from the west over areas north of about Port Lincoln to Renmark. Areas of cloud further south. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the west and north with light to moderate northeast to northwest winds, freshening in the west.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday until midnight Saturday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm with local falls of 20 to 30 mm with thunderstorms.
Sunday until TuesdayIsolated showers contracting eastwards and clearing by Monday, then fine apart from isolated showers developing south of about Adelaide on Monday. Areas of cloud persisting in the north. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the west and north.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Wednesday.Product IDS10033
