Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 7/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure system over the northern Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the New South Wales north coast, while a low pressure trough extends from the northwest to the southeast of the state. This pattern will change little until Thursday, when the trough will shift to the northeast and weaken as a cold front moves across the state from the west.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayMostly fine about the far north coast and northwest slopes. Isolated showers and thunderstorms elsewhere, becoming scattered in the southeast and central west during the afternoon. Hot in the west. Northwest to northeast winds freshening on the north coast. A southerly change developing near the Victorian border.Wednesday 9 NovemberFine and partly cloudy in the far northeast. Isolated showers and thunderstorms elsewhere, chiefly in the afternoon, tending scattered on the western slopes of the southern ranges. Hot in the west. Northwest winds and coastal sea breezes. A late southwesterly change in the far southwest.Thursday 10 NovemberFine and partly cloudy on the far north coast. Isolated showers and thunderstorms elsewhere, clearing from the west early and contracting to the northeast during the day. North to northeast winds in the northeast, and south to southeast winds extending across the remainder.Friday 11 NovemberIsolated showers in the northeast, and clearing showers on the central coast. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Tuesday.Product IDN10031
