Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 7/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A broad area of low pressure lies over the north and west of the state. A cold front will reach the far west coast this evening and move across most of the State on Wednesday, reaching Moomba late evening.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers and thunderstorms, scattered with squally winds over the southern and eastern pastorals and the northern agricultural area. Warm in the south, hot in the north. Light to moderate northerly winds, fresh at times in the northeast and far west, tending southerly in the south of the Pastorals during the morning. A fresh southwest change reaching the far west coast late evening.Fire Danger -  Severe: North East Pastoral.Wednesday 9 NovemberIsolated showers and thunderstorms, gradually clearing from the west of the State. Showers tending scattered in the east in the afternoon. Mild to warm with moderate to fresh northwest winds, strong at times inland, ahead of a fresh and gusty southwesterly change, reaching Adelaide early afternoon and Moomba late evening.Thursday 10 NovemberIsolated early showers and thunderstorms in the far northeast. Isolated showers about southern coasts and the Lower South East. Early morning fog patches in the west. Mild in the south, grading to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh westerly winds in the south, tending southwest to southeast in the north.Friday 11 November
Isolated showers developing in the far west during the evening. Fine elsewhere. Mild in the south, grading to hot in the north. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, turning southwest to southeast in the west and south.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday until midnight Friday are expected to be 10 to 20 mm over the northern agricultural area and Northeast Pastoral with local falls of 20 to 30 mm with thunderstorms. 5 to 10 mm about southern and western coasts and the south of the Northwest Pastorals with local falls of 10 to 20 mm with thunderstorms. Less than 5 mm in the north of the Northwest Pastoral.
Saturday until MondayIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the north, then a band of showers extending across the State and clearing later from the west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Tuesday.Product IDS10033
