Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 6/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure system is located over the Tasman Sea. A trough lies from northwest NSW through to southern parts of the coast. This trough slips to the southeast as the high pressure systems strengthens a ridge over the southeast again later Monday or on Tuesday morning. A stronger frontal system moves through the state on Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayFine in the far northwest and northeast. Fog patches, mainly on the ranges and slopes. Showers and thunderstorms over the remainder, contracting eastwards. Very warm to hot. A weak southerly change extending across southern and central districts. North to northwest winds elsewhere.Tuesday 8 NovemberRemaining fine in the far northeast. Showers and thunderstorms developing over the remaining districts. Hot north to northwest winds inland with a weak southerly change stalling in the far south. North to northeast winds along the coast.Wednesday 9 NovemberFine in the far northeast. Showers and thunderstorms over the remaining districts. Hot north to northwest winds inland, ahead of a late southwesterly change in the far southwest. North to northeast winds along the coast.Thursday 10 NovemberFine in the far west and northeast. Showers and thunderstorms over the remaining districts. South to southwesterly change extending to the northeast.
