Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 5/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front and associated low pressure trough will approach western Victoria tonight and will cross most districts during Sunday, before weakening over the northeast Sunday night. The trough will persist over the northeast on Monday as a weak high pressure system will move across southern Victoria. A stronger cold front will cross Victoria on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine and clear throughout. Seabreezes along the Gippsland coast easing. Light to moderate northerly winds elsewhere.Sunday 6 NovemberGenerally fine during the morning, but isolated showers and thunderstorms extending to most districts during the afternoon and evening. Warm to hot with a freshening north to northwesterly wind, shifting cooler, gusty west to southwesterly from the west.Fire Danger -  Generally highMonday 7 NovemberScattered showers and thunderstorms over the east. Local drizzle over remaining southern districts clearing by the afternoon. Warm in the north with light northwesterly winds. Mild in the south with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 8 NovemberIsolated showers extending from the west and tending scattered in the afternoon with isolated thunderstorms developing. A warm day with generally light winds.Wednesday 9 NovemberRain areas and local thunderstorms with some heavy falls developing over the northeast during the afternoon and evening.
