Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 4/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system southeastern Australia will move over the Tasman Sea on Saturday, while a trough of low pressure approaches the state's west. Between these two systems, northerly winds are expected to bring warmer and more humid air across the region through the weekend. The trough is expected to pass over New South Wales during Sunday and Monday, bringing showers and thunderstorms to the state.
Forecast for the rest of FridayA few isolated showers about the far northern coast and adjacent ranges. Fine and mostly clear elsewhere, apart from some high cloud in the west. Southeast to northeast winds.Saturday 5 NovemberEarly fog patches in the east. The chance of a few isolated showers about the northern coast and adjacent east ranges. Isolated showers and thunderstorms developing along the northeastern inland border. Fine elsewhere, although cloud increasing over most of the state. North to northeast winds.Sunday 6 NovemberFine along the central and northern coasts. Showers and thunderstorms developing over most of the remainder, increasing during the afternoon west of the divide. Very warm to hot northwest winds inland, with a late west to southwesterly change in the far southwest. Northeast winds along the coast.Monday 7 NovemberFine in the far west. Showers and thunderstorms over the remainder, contracting eastwards. Very warm to hot. A weak southerly change extending across southern and central districts. North to northwest winds elsewhere.Tuesday 8 NovemberRemaining fine along the far north coast. Showers developing over the remaining districts, tending scattered in the southwest. Hot north to northwest winds inland, ahead of a cooler southerly change in the far southwest. North to northeast winds along the coast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EDT Saturday.Product IDN10031
