Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 3/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over western Victoria extends a ridge across much of New South Wales, promoting fine conditions in most districts today. By Saturday the high will be over the Tasman Sea, while a trough of low pressure approaches the state's west. Between these two systems, northerly winds are expected to bring warmer and more humid air across the region through the weekend. The trough is expected to have more influence as it enters western New South Wales during Sunday and Monday, bringing unsettled conditions.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers about the northern coast and adjacent ranges, easing. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere, apart from some high cloud in the west. Southeast to northeast winds.Saturday 5 NovemberIsolated showers in the far northeast. Isolated showers developing near the border in the northwest. Fine elsewhere, although cloud increasing over most of the state. North to northeast winds.Sunday 6 NovemberFine along the central and northern coasts. Showers and thunderstorms developing elsewhere, increasing during the afternoon about the western slopes. Clearing in the far west later. Hot northwest winds inland, with a late west to southwesterly change in the far southwest. Northeast winds along the coast.Monday 7 NovemberFine in the far west. Showers and thunderstorms over the remainder, clearing over central parts of the state. A southerly change extending across southern and central districts. North to northwest winds elsewhere.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Friday.Product IDN10031
