Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 3/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure system over the eastern Bight extends a ridge over much of New South Wales, During Friday and Saturday the high is expected to move to the Tasman Sea while another trough approaches the state's west, with northerly winds ahead of the trough bringing warmer and more humid air across the region through the weekend. This trough is also expected to bring showers and thunderstorms to NSW during Sunday and Monday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayCloudy along the coast, with isolated showers along the northern coast, less likely along the central coast Clear west of the divide. Southwest to southeast winds.Friday 4 NovemberEarly fogs about the ranges, slopes and coast. Isolated showers about the northern coast and adjacent ranges, easing. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere, although cloud increasing in the west. Mainly southeast to northeast winds.Saturday 5 NovemberIsolated showers along the northern coast and adjacent east ranges, contracting north. Isolated showers developing along the northwestern inland border districts. Fine remainder, with cloud increasing over most of the state. North to northeast winds.Sunday 6 NovemberShowers and thunderstorms developing across most of the state, although remaining dry along the central and northern coasts and clearing from the far west later. Showers and thunderstorms increasing during the afternoon, particularly about the western slopes. Hot northwest winds inland, with a late west to southwesterly change in the far southwest. Northeast winds along the coast.Monday 7 NovemberFine in the far west. Showers and thunderstorms over the remainder, clearing over central parts of the state North to northwest winds ahead of a southerly change, extending to the northeast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EDT Friday.Product IDN10031
