Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 3/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of Kangaroo Island will slowly move eastwards to be located over the Tasman Sea by Friday night. A trough of low pressure will develop near the western border late on Friday, before moving eastwards over South Australia during Saturday and early Sunday. A weak high will form over the Bight later Sunday. Another trough will cross the far west Monday evening.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine and mostly clear this evening. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the west and north. Light to moderate south to southeast winds, tending easterly in the west and freshening about the coast.Friday 4 NovemberPossible early morning fog patches about Kangaroo Island and the South East. Scattered showers and isolated thuderstorms developing near the western border during the afternoon, with possible showers in the far northeast. Fine eslewhere. Warm to hot with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, tending fresh northerly in the west.Saturday 5 NovemberIsolated showers and thunderstorms extending across western districts, with showers increasing to scattered in the far west. Isolated showers and possible thunder also in the far northeast. Hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a southwest change extending across the west, reaching central districts late evening.Sunday 6 NovemberIsolated showers about southern and western coasts. Possible showers and thunderstorms elsewhere. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north. Moderate northerly winds in the northeast, shifting southwest to southerly throughout in the afternoon.Monday 7 November
Isolated showers about western coasts and Kangaroo Island. Fine elsewhere. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, tending fresh northwesterly in the west ahead of a southwest change in the evening.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday until midnight Monday are expected to be 1 to 3 mm across the State, increasing to 5 to 10 mm west of about Ernabella to Ceduna, possibly reaching 15 mm in the far west.
Tuesday until ThursdayIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms extending throughout on Tuesday and Wednesday, contracting to eastern districts early Thursday morning then clearing. Warm to hot with northwest winds initially, but becoming gradually milder throughout as winds turn southerly.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Friday.Product IDS10033
