Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 2/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of the Bight will slowly move eastwards to be located over the Tasman Sea by Friday night. A trough of low pressure will develop near the western border late on Friday, before moving eastwards over South Australia on the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine apart from isolated morning showers about southern coasts. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the west and north. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds and moderate to fresh afternoon coastal sea breezes.Friday 4 NovemberEarly fog patches south of about Adelaide. A warm to hot and fine day apart from isolated showers and thunderstorms developing near the western border from late afternoon. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, turning moderate northerly in the west.Saturday 5 NovemberIsolated showers and thunderstorms gradually extending from the west to reach Coober Pedy to Port Lincoln late evening. Isolated showers and possible thunder also developing over the far northeast. Mostly hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds, shifting southwesterly in west later.Sunday 6 November
Isolated showers about southern and western coasts. Possible showers and storms elsewhere southwest of about Coober Pedy to Renmark. Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms also in the far northeast. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north. Mainly moderate southwest to southeast winds tending moderate northerly in the north.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday until midnight Sunday are expected to be up to 3 mm over the southern agricultural area, and 2 to 10 mm in the far northeast and west of about Ceduna. Isolated falls reaching 10 to 15 mm are possible about the western border.
Monday until WednesdayIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms extending across the state, mainly during Tuesday, and contracting to the northeast Wednesday. Warm to hot ahead of a milder change later in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Thursday.Product IDS10033
