Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 1/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of the Bight will remain near-stationary before moving eastwards on Thursday to be centred over the Lower South East district on Friday morning and off the east coast of Australia on Saturday. A trough of low pressure will develop near the western border late on Friday, and extend over western parts of the State on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayEarly morning fog patches over Eyre Peninsula and the Mid North. Isolated showers about southern coasts and ranges south of about Adelaide. Fine elsewhere. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the far north. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds and moderate to fresh afternoon coastal sea breezes.Thursday 3 NovemberFine apart from isolated morning showers about southern coasts and ranges south of about Adelaide, and early fog patches over the West Coast, Eyre Peninsula and Mid North districts. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the west and north. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds and moderate to fresh afternoon coastal sea breezes.Friday 4 NovemberEarly fog patches south of about Adelaide. A warm to hot and fine day apart from isolated showers and thunderstorms developing near the western border from late afternoon. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, turning moderate northerly in the west.Saturday 5 November
Isolated showers and thunderstorms gradually extending from the west to reach Woomera to Port Lincoln late evening. Mostly hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds, shifting southwesterly in west later.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday until midnight Saturday are expected to be up to 3 mm over southern coasts and ranges south of about Adelaide. On Friday and Saturday, falls of up to 2 mm are expected west of about Woomera to Port Lincoln, increasing to 2 to 10 mm west of Ceduna with isolated falls reaching 10 to 15 mm about the western border.
Sunday until TuesdayMild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north with isolated showers and thunderstorms. Mainly moderate southwest to southeast winds tending moderate northerly in the north.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Wednesday.Product IDS10033
