Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 31/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong, slow-moving high pressure system south of the Bight extends a ridge over NSW. The high pressure ridge will continue to dominate inland parts of the state during the week, with a southerly change moving through the coast from Wednesday. During Saturday the high is expected to become centered over the Tasman and a trough will enter western NSW later on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayMostly sunny over the southern inland and partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds.Tuesday 1 NovemberEarly fog patches, chiefly about the ranges and southern parts of the coast. The chance of showers on the far south coast and ranges. Mostly sunny about the southern inland and partly cloudy remainder. Southwest to southeast winds, turning northeasterly along parts of the coast during the afternoon.Wednesday 2 NovemberEarly fogs about the ranges, coast and slopes, chiefly in the north. The chance of showers on the south and central coasts. Cloudy periods in the southeast, and mostly sunny elsewhere. Northwest to northeast winds in the northeast, southwest to southeast winds in the remainder.Thursday 3 NovemberEarly fogs about the ranges, coast and slopes. The chance of coastal showers, mostly in the north. Mostly sunny inland. Southwest to southeast winds.Friday 4 NovemberEarly fogs about the ranges, coast and slopes. Chance of coastal showers, mostly in the far north. Mostly sunny elsewhere. East to southeast winds. Winds tending northwest to northeast winds in the southeast of the state.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EDT Tuesday.Product IDN10031
