Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 30/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong, slow-moving high pressure system south of the Bight extends a ridge over NSW. The high pressure ridge will continue over the state during the week. During Saturday the high is expected to become centered over the Tasman as a trough moves over SA.
Forecast for the rest of MondayThe possibility of isolated showers along the exposed coastal fringe of the northern half of the coast. Mostly sunny over the southern inland and partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds.Fire Danger -  Very High in Upper WesternTuesday 1 NovemberEarly fog patches, chiefly about the ranges. The chance of showers on the far south coast and ranges. Mostly sunny about the southern inland and partly cloudy remainder. Southwest to southeast winds, turning northeasterly along parts of the coast during the afternoon.Wednesday 2 NovemberEarly fogs about the ranges , coast and slopes, chiefly in the north. The chance of showers on the south and central coasts. Cloudy periods in the southeast, and mostly sunny elsewhere. Northwest to northeast winds in the northeast, southwest to southeast winds in the remainder.Thursday 3 NovemberEarly fogs about the ranges, coast and slopes. The chance of coastal showers, mostly in the north. Mostly sunny inland. Southwest to southeast winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Monday.Product IDN10031
