Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 30/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough over northeastern New South Wales will weaken overnight as a strong, slow-moving high pressure system moves south of the Bight gradually extending a ridge to the north coast. The high pressure ridge is expected to remain across the most of the state until Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the northeast and in the far southeast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds extending throughout.Monday 31 OctoberIsolated showers on the north coast. Mostly sunny over the southern inland and partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds.Fire Danger -  Very High in Upper WesternTuesday 1 NovemberIsolated showers on the far north coast and the chance of showers on the far south coast and ranges. Partly cloudy remainder. Southwest to southeast winds, turning northeasterly along parts of the coast during the afternoon.Wednesday 2 NovemberThe chance of showers on the south and central coasts. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Northwest to northeast winds in the northeast, southwest to southeast winds in the remainder.Thursday 3 NovemberThe chance of coastal showers, mostly in the north.
