Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 27/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high centred near Tasmania is ridging along NSW coast and directing an onshore airstream. A trough lies in the Tasman Sea off the far northern coast. Another trough extends southwards from Queensland into the far northern NSW. A frontal system and associated trough are likely to enter southwest NSW later on Friday before moving across the state over the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayScattered showers in the northeast. Isolated showers along the remainder of the coast, clearing from the south. Fine and mostly sunny remainder. Northeast to southeast winds.Friday 28 OctoberIsolated showers in the northeast and isolated afternoon showers and possible thunderstorms over the central north. Patchy rain and possible thunderstorms developing along the western and southern border. Very warm to hot day in the west. Northeast to northwest winds over the inland ahead of a late southwesterly change in the southwest. Southeast winds becoming northeast along the coast and strengthening on the south coast.Saturday 29 OctoberIsolated showers over most of the state, tending scattered over central parts and the southeast where thunderstorms are possible. Northwest to northeast winds in the northeast ahead of a south to southwesterly change over the remainder.Sunday 30 OctoberScattered showers in the east, generally fine elsewhere. Southwest to southerly winds extending through southern and western districts. Northwest to northeast winds in the northeast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Thursday.Product IDN10031
