Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 25/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front moving across NSW today will will leave a trough over the northeast on Wednesday. Following this, the next high is forecast to move from the Bight to the southern Tasman Sea mid-week, establishing an onshore airstream. A trough will move into southwestern NSW on Friday and through the remainder of the state on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayScattered showers and thunderstorms in the northeast. Isolated showers in the southeast. Mostly fine remainder. Northeast to northwest winds in the northeast. North to northeast winds in the northeast, ahead of a southwest to southeast change.Wednesday 26 OctoberIsolated showers about the central and northern coast, ranges, slopes and plains, tending scattered about the northern inland. Thunderstorms in the northeast, and possibly about the central slopes and plains. Isolated showers along the coast and east ranges in the south. Fine remainder. Winds becoming southwest to southeast most parts.Thursday 27 OctoberIsolated showers in the northeast and along the southern half of the coast, tending scattered at times in the northeast. Fine remainder. Northeast to southeast winds.Friday 28 OctoberIsolated showers in the northeast and isolated afternoon showers and possible thunderstorms over the northeastern inland. Patchy rain and thunderstorms developing along the western and southern border. Northeast to northwest winds over the inland ahead of a late southwesterly change in the southwest. Southeast winds becoming northeast along the coast.Saturday 29 OctoberIsolated showers over most of the state, tending scattered over central parts and the southeast. Northwest to northeast winds in the northeast ahead of a south to southwesterly change over the remainder.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EDT Wednesday.Product IDN10031
