Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 22/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough will enter western Victoria on Sunday before moving to the east of the State on Monday. A High will strengthen to the west of Tasmania on Tuesday, extending a ridge through Bass Strait, before the High Centre moves into the Tasman Sea on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayScattered showers and thunderstorms easing during the evening and contracting to the east. Mild in the south with light to moderate southerly winds, warm in the north with light and variable winds.Sunday 23 OctoberAreas of morning fog. Scattered showers developing from the west late morning and extending east during the afternoon and evening. Chance of isolated thunderstorms mainly in the south. A warm and humid day with light to moderate northwesterly winds tending southwesterly in the west later.Monday 24 OctoberRain developing early morning from the west and extending east by evening. Locally heavy falls about the southwest and the Dividing Range. Mild with moderate southerly winds.Tuesday 25 OctoberIsolated showers and drizzle in the south, clearing east by evening. Fine elsewhere. Mild with light to moderate southeasterly winds.Wednesday 26 OctoberFine apart from clearing isolated showers from the far east.
