Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 16/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system will cross the State today and will be centred over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday and Wednesday. A weak surface trough will approach the western border late Wednesday before moving across western and central areas during Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayEarly morning frost patches inland then a mild and sunny day across the north. Partly cloudy over southern districts during the morning with isolated showers about the Gippsland coast then a cool and generally sunny afternoon to follow. Mainly light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Tuesday 18 OctoberA fine sunny day apart from early morning fog patches in the east. Mild to warm with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds, but cooler afternoon seabreezes developing along the Gippsland coast.Wednesday 19 OctoberEarly fog patches in the east and the chance of a late shower in the far southwest, otherwise a fine and mainly sunny day. Generally warm with a freshening north to northwesterly wind, although milder seabreezes developing along parts of the Gippsland coast during the afternoon.Thursday 20 OctoberCloud extending across the State with isolated showers in the west, extending throughout most of the State by the evening. The chance of a thunderstorm in the west. Warm with moderate to fresh north to northwest winds ahead of a milder south to southwest change, extending through western areas during the afternoon and central areas in the evening.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Monday.Product IDV10310
