Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 16/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system in the Bight extends a ridge over NSW. The high will move over Victoria on Monday over the NSW coast on Tuesday, and over the Tasman Sea Wednesday trough Saturday. A trough will affect southern NSW late in the week.
Forecast for the rest of SundayThe chance of isolated showers developing about the Illawarra and about the Northern Rivers district late in the evening. Sunny over the remainder. South to southwest winds over the inland. South to southeast winds along the coast.Monday 17 OctoberMorning fog patches about the southern and central ranges. Isolated showers on the north and central coasts and adjacent east ranges clearing in central parts during the morning, and contracting to the far north late during the evening. The chance of a few afternoon showers or thunderstorms about the northeastern inland. Sunny elsewhere. East to southeast winds.Tuesday 18 OctoberEarly fog patches about the coast and ranges.The chance of isolated showers on the far north coast. Possible showers and thunderstorms developing over the far northwestern inland. Sunny elsewhere. East to northeast winds.Wednesday 19 OctoberWidespread morning fogs in the east. The chance of a few isolated showers on the far north coast. Sunny remainder. Northerly winds in the west. Mostly east to northeast winds along the coast.Thursday 20 OctoberIncreasing cloud over the southwest of the state with the chance of isolated showers. Sunny elsewhere.
