Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 14/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough will cross New South Wales today as a cold front moves across the far south of the state during late Saturday and early Sunday. On Sunday a high pressure system will move south of the Bight with a broad ridge building over most of the state. The high will continue moving slowly towards New South Wales coast during Monday and Tuesday and the ridge will further strengthen while a weak trough lingers in the far north.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayPartly cloudy in the west. Scattered showers gradually clearing on the central parts of the coast. Isolated showers and thunderstorms elsewhere tending scattered to widespread over the central and northeastern parts. Thunderstorms possibly severe in the northeast. Southeast to northeast winds ahead of a south to southwesterly change extending through the west and southeast.Sunday 16 OctoberIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the far northeast. Possible showers on south coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southwest change extending throughout.Monday 17 OctoberIsolated showers on the north and central coasts possibly extending to the adjacent northern ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds.Tuesday 18 OctoberIsolated showers on the far north coast. Partly cloudy sunny elsewhere.
