Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 11/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the eastern Bight extends a ridge towards the Coral Sea. It will move eastwards over the next few days, maintaining a ridge to the north coast as a trough moves over South Autralia. A cold front within this trough willo reach the far west of NSW late Friday. The front will cross NSW during Saturday, and extend a southerly change along the coast during Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers in the far northeast and possibly in the far southeast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Early patchy fog, mostly about the ranges. Southeast to southwest winds, turning easterly on the northern coast later.Thursday 13 OctoberIsolated showers over the central and northeastern parts, more likely near the Queensland border. The chance of thunderstorms over the northern slopes, plains and ranges near the Queensland border. Partly cloudy remainder. Early patchy fog, mostly about the central and southern coast and adjacent ranges. Southeast to northeast winds.Friday 14 OctoberIsolated showers over most of the state apart from the far west, tending scattered in the inland north. Isolated thunderstorms in the north, as well as central ranges and slopes, more likely over the inland north. Southeast to northeast winds.Saturday 15 OctoberIsolated showers with the chance of thunderstorm over most of the state apart from the far west, tending scattered in the inland north, with thunderstorms less likely over the coast. Southeast to northeast winds ahead of a south to southwesterly change extending through the west and south.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Wednesday.Product IDN10031
