Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 10/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front crossing southern Victoria will clear eastwards tonight. A high pressure system will cross waters south of the Bight Tuesday and will cross Victoria later Wednesday, reaching the Tasman Sea on Thursday. A low pressure trough will enter western Victoria late Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayScattered showers mainly on and south of the ranges, falling as snow above 1400m. Moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds extending throughout.Tuesday 11 OctoberIsolated showers mainly on and south of the ranges falling as snow above 1600 metres. Cool with moderate to locally fresh southwesterly winds.Wednesday 12 OctoberIsolated early morning fog and frost inland. Dry over most of the state. Isolated showers near the coast clearing eastwards during the afternoon. Partly cloudy in the south, but mostly sunny over the north. Mild with light winds.Thursday 13 OctoberLocal early morning fog and frost then a generally mild to warm day with increasing cloud. Light northeasterly winds and afternoon seabreezes developing along the coast.Friday 14 OctoberIsolated showers, more widespread over the northeast with isolated thunderstorms possible. Generally mild with moderate north to northeasterly winds shifting westerly over western districts late in the day.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Tuesday.Product IDV10310
