Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 9/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weakening cold front is moving across southeastern New South Wales this evening. Another cold front will move through the state on Monday and Tuesday, although the air-mass in the region is too dry for the front to generate any significant precipitation. Following this, a high pressure system to the west is forecast to extend a ridge across southeast Australia. The high is expected to drift towards the Tasman Sea during Wednesday and Thursday as low pressure trough becomes established over inland parts of the state. The positioning of this trough is currently uncertain, but it appears likely that much of the state will see some rainfall towards the end of the week.
