Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 8/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak high is located over the eastern Tasman Sea, and another over South Australia. Between these systems, a broad trough is situated over eastern New South Wales. This trough will move to the western Tasman Sea overnight, behind which a cold front will pass across southern and central districts during Sunday. Another front is expected to pass to the south during Monday, as a high pressure system to the west extends a ridge across the state.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine in the far west. Showers and thunderstorms in the east, contracting to the ranges this evening before clearing overnight. West to southwest winds inland, and southeast to northeast winds along the coast.Sunday 9 OctoberIsolated showers across southern districts, chiefly in the southeast where there is also the chance of thunderstorms. Possible afternoon showers in the northeast and in the far northwest. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. West to southwest winds, freshening about the central and southern ranges. A gusty southerly change along the southern and central coasts.Monday 10 OctoberThe chance of showers about the far southern ranges, and along the southern and central coasts. Possible early showers in the far northeast. Fine elsewhere. West to southwest winds inland, tending southeast to northeast near the coast.Tuesday 11 OctoberThe chance of showers near the southern and central coasts. Fine elsewhere. Southeast to southwest winds.Wednesday 12 OctoberPossible showers in the far west. Isolated showers about the central and northern coasts. Fine elsewhere.
