Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 6/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak low pressure trough will linger over Victoria today. A weak ridge of high pressure will extend over northern Victoria during Saturday. A cold front will approach the southwest coast Saturday night then cross the State on Sunday. Another cold front is expected to affect southern Victoria on Monday as it passes through Bass Strait.
Forecast for the rest of FridayMorning fog patches. Isolated showers developing during the morning, becoming more widespread about the ranges during the afternoon. Isolated afternoon thunderstorms possible throughout, although more likely about the ranges. A cool to mild day with light and variable winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Saturday 8 OctoberIsolated showers on and south of the ranges contracting eastwards during the afternoon, fine elsewhere. Cool to mild with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds.Sunday 9 OctoberScattered showers. Cool with moderate westerly winds tending south to southwesterly.Monday 10 OctoberScattered showers on and south of the ranges. Isolated showers over the north. Cool with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Friday.Product IDV10310
