Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 6/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak high is over the Tasman Sea, with another weak high over SA. Between these systems, a trough over NSW is moving slowly eastwards over the day or two. Following this, there are indications that a cold front may sweep across the region later on the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayRain areas, chiefly over the northeast inland, tending to showers in the west and contracting east. The chance of isolated thunderstorms about northern and central parts. North to northeast winds turning southwesterly in the west.Friday 7 OctoberIsolated showers, chiefly in the east and southwest, tending scattered near the Victorian border later. Isolated thunderstorms in southern, central and western parts. Mostly light and variable winds.Saturday 8 OctoberFine in the far west. Isolated showers elsewhere, contracting to the east, scattered on the southern slopes. Isolated thunderstorms in the east, chiefly in the afternoon and in the northeast. Mostly west to southwest winds.Sunday 9 OctoberIsolated showers extending from the southwest into central and southeastern districts, becoming scattered in the southern inland. Fine in the northeast. Mostly west to southwest winds.Monday 10 OctoberIsolated showers in most parts at first, clearing in the west and tending to rain areas in the southeastern inland.
