Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 5/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak low pressure trough will linger over Victoria today and Friday. A weak ridge of high pressure will extend over northern Victoria during Saturday. A cold front will approach the southwest coast Saturday night then cross the State on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers, more widespread about the ranges during the afternoon. Cool to mild with light and variable winds.Friday 7 OctoberIsolated showers over western districts. Scattered showers elsewhere. Isolated thunderstorms mainly during the afternoon. A cool to mild day with light to moderate south to southwesterly winds gradually extending throughout.Saturday 8 OctoberIsolated showers on and south of the ranges, fine elsewhere. Cool to mild with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds.Sunday 9 OctoberIsolated showers, scattered over the southwest. Cool with moderate to fresh southwest winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Thursday.Product IDV10310
